At Bujagali Energy Limited, Environmental protection is an integral part of the company’s cooperate initiatives. On 5th May 2023, Bujagali Energy Limited joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Environment Day under the theme “beating plastics” This is practiced through waste segregation within the Bujagali Hydropower plant.
Additionally, the annual tree planting efforts were exhibited as staff planted indigenous tree species within the dam area while fruit trees were planted by the project area communities for resilient and sustainable livelihoods.
