School vegetables are the best! My name is Kagoya Rashida 13 years old, a pupil of Naminya Roman Catholic School in Naminya parish, Buikwe district. My parent saves expenditure on school meals.
After receiving improved vegetable seeds and training from Bujagali Energy Limited, we started vegetable production on a quarter an acre of land with an objective of complementing school feeding programs. School meals have improved nutrition and attendance of pupils leading to better learning outcomes. We hope to grow more vegetables for school feeding and sale of surplus for income generation.
